Washington, DC A bill that would expand voting rights to some immigrants who are not US citizens was introduced Thursday in the New York City Council.
City Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez, an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, is sponsoring the legislation, which would give the right to vote in municipal elections to New York residents who are legal permanent residents or have a work authorization.Nearly one million New York City residents cannot vote in local elections because they are not citizens, according to Rodriguez's office, despite paying taxes and being invested in and contributing to the city.
Puerto Ricans can’t even vote for the President and our men are taken for US wars, but let’s give the right to vote to people who will not even be subjected to what Puerto Ricans have endured. Sure! 🤦🏻♀️
Ok, now this is going too far. It is one thing to let undocumented immigrants to work for us (they pay into our social programs but cannot legally take it out), but letting them vote is really pushing it.

They made the choice to pass on citizenship. So, they don't get the benefits of being a citizen. Or at least that's how any rational thinking individual would see it. NOTE: NOT referring to illegals (that's what they are), but LEGAL individuals here on visa, etc.
Liberals are out to destroy America as we know it! Imagine if U.S. citizens were allowed to vote in local elections in Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, etc. This is an abomination! As Americans we have a right to protect our borders and the sovereignty of our nation!
