If the seagrass can be restored globally, not only can the manatees be saved, but it can also 'bury 11% of the organic carbon in the ocean. Between 2–7% of the earth’s seagrass meadows, mangroves, and other coastal wetlands are lost annually.'

Florida can't get anything right. Even as 'pro-birthers.' 🙄

💔

Theon_Orbis Not only is DeathSantis killing old and young alike, he's killing the sea wildlife!!!

Oh no, save the manatees!!! 😭😭😭

lesherb My heart hurts on this. Our first vacation in years was Orlando. Spent two days snorkeling, seeing and encountering manatees. They weee so gentle and responded to calm water. I’m saddened we can’t go back, that they are suffering.

It’s simply unfathomable about these manatees. So sad.😔

From what I understand, the Lagoon is experiencing Brown Tied, which is pollution due to the increased purchase of boats during COVID. Created a lot of pollution they killed the seagrass. Need to make the Lagoon trolling motor only for a bit.

😢💔💔😭

The collapse of global food chains is well on its way, but Americans won't notice until the fishing trawlers come back empty.

Will they eat the rich?

Nooooo! 🥺😢

TabithaLipkin Save the Manatee

Florida is a dead zone for sea life the way it's going. Depressing living here.

Covid? 😂

DeSantis is walking people to the grave and you think he cares about manatees? He probably thinks it's a garment.

Blame the BP oil spill.

Lemme guess the estuary area is around Tampa st Pete?

This is heartbreaking.
