Positive influence is how not to kill without remorse . On how to take life and become positive influence on the community. What exactly is the positive influence he will bring to his community 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄.

I got 8 years for 1oz of marijuana. The judge said he was 'sending a message' but Chauvin got 22.5 will be out in 15 and the Judge Cahill actually SAID he wasn't 'sending a message' with less than the maximum. He sent a message that public lynching is ok. DefundThePolice

He couldn’t hear the pleadings for nine minutes! Now has 22 years to think. Perhaps he can be the good influence in his new community.

“Murderer chooses VERY unflattering suit.” (Pun was unintended but…duh.)

I bet you any money he will get prison privileges include access to private cash, television in cell, more family visits, the opportunity to wear one's own clothes and to work in better-paid jobs, and more time outside his cell

Chauvin's lawyers need to know he already had his chance to do good in the community....aka he was a police officer! Embarrassing his lawyers would say that! BlackLivesMatter badcops offtojailchauvingoes communities4goodcopsONLY

30 years is NOT LONG ENOUGH

I completely agree he should be a positive influence on his community. By spending the rest of his miserable life behind bars. Preferably in some prison with some of the inmates he put there. You know, so he can be a positive influence on them.

He should have been given probation? The audacity.

Which community is that because... 🤔🧐

Abuse of power which must be punished. Police brutality undermines their effectiveness to enforce the law & make peace in communities.

Kidding, right?

What will DerekChauvinSentencing be?

He isn't a positive influence on humanity. That's the point of his trial for murder. You do a bad crime, you do the time.

Ummmmmmmmmm fellas I got some news for you

30 years in prison, would be a just sentence, and a strong deterrent.

What will the results to a sentence of probation be on the Community and Country/World? DerekChauvinSentencing

'If' DerekChauvin is sentenced to probation what probation what will happen?

No, what he did besides murder, was malicious. No telling If he killed others. He should face the Death Penalty.

OK we’ll compromise 29 years

Considering George Floyd received the death penalty & no due process for allegedly using a counterfeit bill, probation for 2nd-degree murder is insulting.

come on, hanging.

Anyone who murders a black man the way he did, as a police officer who should be trusted, deserves 30 years. He's not capable of being a positive influence. He's bad. He might learn to be a better person with some time to think.

He had the chance to be a positive influence on his community when he was a police officer, but instead he became a murder and murderers should go to prison. Simple.

KayTravel What community would that be? Racists? Bullies? Or just, murderers?

I don’t want this monster “influencing” me or anyone else for that matter. Lock him up.

PRISON

Seriously?

He can be a positive influence by getting shanked by his cellmate.

Positive influence!!!! Yes, he would be a positive influence to those who choose to do people wrong.

“Lock him up, lock him up, lock him up” etc

No he can’t last in his community he’d be dead and he’s better off in jail least he could do for the suffering he caused George Floyd

haha

And by Positive Influence they mean: White people should be able to trust they can still get away with murder serving NO jail time as long as the victim is black... smdh

Give him life for a life he took! 😡

Honestly he should get the chair. 30 years isn’t enough for a torture/murder.

Chauvin going to prison for 30 years would be a positive influence on his community

[ dies laughing ]

George Floyd died from overdosing on fentanyl.

This has appeal written all over it.

You had to pick my jaw up off the floor after reading what his lawyers want. That is the definition of white privilege…and I’m as white as white can be. What is wrong with my white counterparts?

Defense attorneys rarely surprise me. This one's a shocker.

What kind of lawyer asks for probation after a murder conviction?

A POSITIVE WHAT?

30 years? This is so tragic.

Whoa? That’s pipe dreaming. First acceptable accountability, then positive influence. He should have time to put all his contrition, if it exists, in a book. He’s young enough to return to society. George Floyd’s positive influence is post life.

As a police officer, he was perfectly positioned to be a positive influence on the community and decided that wasn't what he was interested in. Not sure why anyone would expect that to be different now. Give him the 30.

Time for legal ethics as mandatory learning. This shadow of a doubt approach is not working well enough. This is the poster case.

He already had an opportunity to be a positive influence in his community during his 19 year career as an officer and he blew it.

He certainly had ample opportunity to be a positive influence on his community. He chose to be an abuser and murderer instead.

Gdad1 Throw away the key.

Lock his murderous ass up for the rest of his days! His chance to make a difference in his community was when he was in uniform and he chose to be a thug instead.

positive influence on his community What?

There is nothing positive about the sadistic way he killed George Floyd

Can his lawyer say those words with a straight face? Is it even possible?

Jesus, the defense is out there acting like Chauvin is Socrates. If only his punishment were on the table.

a positive influence went out the window that 9 minutes his knee was on george floyd’s neck.

Come on, maximum sentence.
