This is the new normal. Vaccinate and socially distance with public masking, hand sanitizer and good and frequent hand washing. With mass inoculation risk of infection, disease and death will decline.
Isn't this how all vaccines work? They're not 100% effective in preventing infection or transmission. It largely just prepares your immune system to fight it more effectively, so it's not as severe and you're not contagious for as long. What I was taught in middle school.

Public health’s definition of herd immunity is when 80% or of the population is vaccinated.We are only at stage 1B in vaccinating.Of course we still need to be cautious.This is a great reason solely relying on vaccination for protection from anything is irresponsible..

ResusOne Yes, QaaliHussein1 got the vaccine and then I believe she tested positive for the virus 12 days later. She can certainly correct me, but the point is it takes awhile for the vaccine to 'go to work'.
