An internal investigation by the Orange County Sheriff's Dept. found that more than 70% of deputies failed to turn in evidence pertaining to criminal cases at the end of their shift. Those findings were kept out of public view for nearly two years.

No surprise, since the county of orange was declared 'too fraudulent to investigate' by an Grand Jury report released April 15, 2013. I've experienced TheOC police harassment first hand. OCDAToddSpitzer GavinNewsom FBI

Another result of over work under pay and lax leadership. We are appointing Yes managers instead of real working leaders.

Did anybody let Bill Barr know about this? He seems to think all cops are perfect....

fsckemall this might be of interest to you

Of course they didn’t

Just like the shield TV show. It's hard to plant evidence on people without having any evidence to plant. Scumbags!

🤮

How come? Again, where’s the chain of command?

How many bad apples does it take before we admit the tree is rotting?

There are eight different Orange Counties. npr, please specify the state in your headlines. This is stressing me out unnecessarily. Orange County NC has enough problems of its own.

Obstruction Tampering with evidence Fraud Fire their mediocre butts

To keep crimes down for the select few? Sounds about right.

To be fair, in 30% of the cases they turned in entirely dubious evidence. So there’s that.

NPR. The most useless reporting you are forced to fund.

I heard someone say they were a police officer once when they were not.

no! c’mon. more law officers breaking the law? can’t be. do you s’pose they have lots of desks there to keep them occupied?

And Govt wonders why we want Transparency & Accountability.

Law and order GOP Orange County. NotSoMuch

That is a wild statistic. Needs a top down investigation.

Oh , your idealism always surprises me, and I'm on your side. You see once the cases are charged by the state, evidence is often just a formality. The testimony of officers that something existed is enough for most jurors.

😅😅😅 Californication liberal utopia

Los Angeles has been my home for much of my life. Going south into Orange County has always been referred to as “Going behind the “Orange Curtain” for good reason. Sacred ground for John Birchers.

Are police required to tell their employer if they are on psychological medication prescribed by a doctor?

Hey, careful. Any more reporting like that and Bill Barr won’t let the police protect you.

🥴😞Ah.. I know someone who works for the OC department... 🤦🏻‍♀️

Kaepernick7 yourrightscamp

not surprising at all.

My feed is full of cops sucking more than usual tonight.

'failed' 🙄
