CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina woman who lied to get a coronavirus relief loan spent the money on shopping excursions to Nieman Marcus, Nordstrom, Louis Vuitton and diamond stores, federal prosecutors said.
Jasmine Johnnae Clifton, 24, appeared in court Monday and was later released on $25,000 bond, according to aThe release said Clifton applied in March for a Small Business Administration loan designed to provide relief to existing businesses harmed by pandemic shutdowns.
The loan application was approved in early August and Clifton received $149,900, which she later spent at over two dozen retailers, also shopping at Ikea and Rooms to Go, the release said. On Feb. 17, a grand jury indicted Clifton on wire fraud in relation to a disaster benefit and fraud in connection with major disaster or emergency benefits. If convicted, Clifton faces 30 years for each charge and a possible $1,250,000 combined fine.
Charge her accordingly. Jail her and make her pay back every dime. Who does she think she is? Her penance should be volunteering at a woman’s shelter where she will learn the true meaning of living without.

So those of us that invested all of our money on starting a business in January 2020 did not qualify for these loans and we've had to keep putting money form our own pockets all year to survive, but fake paperwork got $150K for a shopping spree.
This woman is now qualified to be in the former guy's cabinet, in his new political party and govt. he's trying to create. Honesty, compassion, integrity has no place in anything the former guy does

Thank you for the honorable men and women keeping us honest and free. That loan could have gone to someone actually in need who might have missed a rent payment furthering the domino effect of financial loss or missed out on buying food and keeping themselves warm. Fuck fraud.
