In 2017, Nikethe Pro Hijab—a soft, fast-absorbing garment made for competitive sports. Two years later, Nike is expanding on the Pro Hijab by releasing a full collection of modest performance-wear for Muslim athletes.
Calling this “modest wear” is a slap in the face of all modest women who are wearing normal swimwear, just as men would too. This sort of messaging plays into fundamentalist propaganda & nike should change its messaging fast. We’ve done it before femanism emancipation
