He told CNN on Sunday the city will"immediately" reinstate a"newer version of modified plainclothes anti-gun unit," a step he endorsed during his campaign.
Additionally, some neighborhoods will have more officers assigned to the unit than others, depending on the level of crime typically seen in that neighborhood, the official said.Plan to focus on flow of gunsThe larger plan rolling out in the coming week will work to address"the underlying reasons you're seeing crime in our city," Adams told CNN. Among them is the flow of guns into the city that officials have spotlighted since Friday's shooting.
