Only one of the 30,000 people who have so far received the Covid-19 vaccine in New York City had a severe adverse reaction to the shot, city officials said Wednesday

A spokesman for the city’s health department didn’t provide further information about the worker. The department is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to track other side effects of the vaccine, officials said. “We’ll continue to follow up on those events and make sure that we’re taking it seriously,” Dave Chokshi, the city’s health commissioner, said at a news conference Wednesday. He added that thein the U.S., according to the CDC. More than 272,000 doses of the vaccine had been administered by that time.
