MOSCOW — A doctor for imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who is in the third week of a hunger strike, says his health is deteriorating rapidly and the 44-year-old Kremlin critic could be on the verge of death. Navalny was arrested on Jan. 17 when he returned to Russia from Germany, where had spent five months recovering from Soviet nerve-agent poisoning that he blames on the Kremlin. Russian officials have denied any involvement and even questioned whether Navalny was poisoned, which was confirmed by several European laboratories.

Putin probably said it’s OK, don’t force him to eat.

The leaders of the world need to waken up to this hypocrisy and save Alexei Navalny, otherwise his hero gesture will become another statistic! Biden, Von der Leyen, you can save this man right now before it’s too late!

cryborg SaveNavalnyNow

This is on Putin the dictators head and his killing machine.

Good, he's a nationalist.

It's time to impose new sanctions and force Putin to let doctors see Epstein!

Why did he decide to return?

He will never win over Putin. He will die in prison.

One party systems are very bad.

If you thing self imposed starvation is killing him, I have a bridge to sell you.

Why Biden doesnt do anything?

Russians must revolt, rise and sack Putin'd palace even if they all die, like Navalney undoubtedly will. Martyrdom!

The fact of the death of the Russian opposition will be an unfortunate event and a negative message. Certainly, his release is the most beneficial in reducing the current tension and escalation with the West, and it gives an opportunity to repair relations again.

I can’t believe this dude is gonna get martyrized to help the US. Sad

This is devastating and so so wrong.

'Our patient could die at any moment.' Well, OF COURSE he could die at any moment. That's a well-known risk to anyone in Russia who is suffering from a severe case of OpposingPutinitis.

A worldwide demonstration?🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

JonLemire I hope Navalny begins to improve and regains his health. He may be sick now,but his supporters need him healthy, alive. The work he began, how can he think its all done, that he's not needed? Dying from a hunger strike only plays into Putins bloody hands. LIVE,NAVALNY- LIVE!

“I've mortally offended Putin by surviving”: why Alexei Navalny keeps fightingRussia’s leading opposition figure has endured ignominy, imprisonment and poisoning over the course of his political career. He isn’t finished yet | 1843 magazine 1843mag R.I.P 1843mag Branding Navalny 'a politician' is misleading. He's an activist with typical activist behaviour, methods, etc. Activists are not people who can develop working policies, are they? Never heard of such case... They live out of scandal and criticism, not of creation and development If bother to do reporting accurately, you’d know that he wasn’t denied medical care but PERSONALLY REFUSED medical care as he was on a hunger strike. Reported by AP and others. So start doing proper journalism and a little less bias-It’s called integrity😉
