OAfter winning gold in Beijing, Olympic figure skater Nathan Chen is exploring his options. 🥇✨

with a stunning free skate that scored him a gold medal, and helped lead the U.S. to a silver medal in the team event. His smile beamed during the free skate performance, as if he knew he’d just secured the win. On the ice,But off the ice, Chen remains humble.

The world met Chen four years ago, at his Olympic debut during the 2018 PyeongChang Games. Chen grabbed the attention of viewers after he landed a shockingduring his long program. This performance came just days after a fall during his short program and was quite the comeback. “Growing up, because I spent so much time in skating and solely focusing on skating, I didn't recognize there's other avenues and opportunities for me,” he said.

“[It] honestly helps with skating,” Chen said. “Heading into 2018, if skating doesn't go well, that's it for me. Skating is the one thing that I have, and if it goes well, that's what my life was destined to be. And if it doesn't go well, then you know, it's kind of wasted, which obviously, is a pretty toxic mentality.”
