The 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 moon landing is approaching and to celebrate NASA is hosting a variety of events in several locations across the country, as well as broadcasting a series of special programs on the space agency's own TV channel.
Just four days later, the mission made history when Armstrong and Aldrin landed the Lunar Module Eagle on the surface of the moon and took the first human steps there, while Collins remained alone in orbit piloting the Command Module Columbia. "[This will be] followed by a visit to the Launch Control Center and Firing Room 1 to connect with Apollo-era launch controllers and those who will launch the Artemis missions that are part of America's Moon to Mars approach for human space exploration."
On July 20 itself, NASA TV will be celebrating by replaying the original broadcast of the lunar landings from 1969—which includes the touch down of the Lunar Module and Armstrong taking his first steps on the moon.

Can the earth’s crust really be damaged even by an earthquake? Altered, yes. Damaged? I don’t think so. I am admired by scientific advances like this one. Nature is now deemed the culprit in ‘damaging’ the Earth? Water’s ‘damage’ to earth’s crust gave us the Grand Canyon. Apparently the leftist LA Times thinks we don’t just inhabit the Earth, we own and control it and Mother Nature has no role.

Could the Apollo 11 moon landing be duplicated today? ‘Lots of luck with that’The Apollo program’s stunning technical success depended on a government leadership culture, an industrial organization, a tolerance for risk and a political environment that don't exist today — even as NASA insists it'll land humans on the moon in 5 years That was great then, before we set out to destroy our planet for greed and wealth. Corporate leadership has changed; & definitely admin in Washington changed for worse. They only brought back the film magazines to save weight and allow them to bring back more rock and soil samples from the moon.
