A question for President-elect Biden and his team is whether or not they should be encouraging Democrats to move quickly, to deliver coronavirus relief faster — even if that means accepting a smaller deal.

with the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing that typically an incoming administration would wait until it's officially in charge to put its fingerprints on policies.

Bernstein says there are three primary factors to consider in framing a new stimulus package — size, composition and speed. He singled one out. It's a receptive argument for Jason Furman, who was a chair of the Council of Economic Advisers in the Obama administration."I think a meaningful something is a lot better than nothing, and holding out for more is a strategy to prolong suffering," he said in an interview with NPR.

It would be complicated for some Democrats to look like they're giving in. But regardless, Harry Reid, who was Senate majority leader during the 2009 negotiations, says rarely does Congress pass much legislation around the holidays.

No one is president-elect until the electors have voted, or the opponent concedes.

Look at the halo around Joe’s head. I love it!!!

This is not the time to bend. Do NOT give in to their terrorist tactics. Withholding medicine to profit corporations? How morally abhorrent and disgusting can you be? No. Do not take a smaller deal. That’s how they pull your strings.

The real question should be a question for Republicans: why are they not giving America what it needs this critical time to save small businesses and our citizens. After all, we are only borrowing the money from ourselves. COVIDReliefNow RepublicanFailure

I love how our own government is like 'should we help people? lol nah'

That's the second photo I've seen where Biden's head looks like it has a halo. Are photographers doing this on purpose? If so, stop. It's weird.

Trying to live on UI of $150/wk while taking care of my aging father who has COPD and Emphysema. State shut down Can’t pay rent, car, health insurance, electricity, heat, meds, food Is there anyone out there that can help in anyway.. I’ll take any assistance. $HeidiiiG3

Typical politicians. Not whether or not it's the best deal for the people. Is done quickly, or will it be too small? Nice choices to make, huh? Not 'what will save the most lives,' or 'what is best for the people!' Hmm - to quick, or too small . . . decisions, decisions . . .

How is this the Democrats responsibility? McConnell has refused to bring any Democratic legislation for a vote - no matter how desperate people are. 1 in 5 kids in Kentucky are food insecure but they elect heartless Mitch? Why?

There was the Mnuchin plan that was pretty good. Democratic leadership killed it because they did not want to pass relief before the election.

Just do NOT give in to employees losing their right to sue their employer.

How small is too small? At what point does a bill become so small that it's useless to the American people. The one small bill that Republicans even bothered to vote on (which failed) DID NOT INCLUDE STIMULUS CHECKS, which is the main thing people need right now!

hey, I still got a dolla two ninety eight left in my bank acct. I'm LIVIN' LARGE....

fakenews

If it’s a focused deal that’s smaller but help more people directly, go for it!

YES no one cares about the politics or additions to the bill. People need money now.

No negotiation with Mitch and his terrorists

Yes yes yes

1.) Biden has said MULTIPLE TIMES that a bill needs to be passed right now and not wait for January 2.) Democrats have passed TWO relief bills that Mitch McConnell refuses to bring up for a vote This is a REPUBLICAN SENATE problem. PERIOD.
