Mother Of Cheltenham Township Single-Car Crash Victim Speaks Out After Incident Left 1 Person Dead, 4 Others Injured: ‘It's Horrible’

Early Sunday morning, a car full of five young people slammed into a utility pole in Cheltenham Township after leaving a birthday party. One of the four victims died due to their injuries.READ MORE:

On Saturday night, Culler celebrated her daughter Emma’s 19th birthday. She got together with Emma and her friends.Around 11 p.m., Culler said goodnight to Emma, who was heading to a friend’s house to sleep over. But things changed quickly for Culler.On Sunday morning, a neighbor knocked on Culler’s door with the news. Emma and four of her friends had been in a single-vehicle crash on Greenwood and Hedgerow Avenues in Cheltenham Township around 1:30 a.m.

“Emma was sitting right next to her she just kept saying that Nikki went through the windshield and she was bleeding,” Culler said. A man who was also sitting in the back did not survive. The driver and front passenger are both hospitalized. It’s not clear the extent of their injuries.On Sunday night, Culler is warning all parents to make sure they know who their children are with, especially if someone will be driving.The crash is currently being investigated by the Cheltenham Township Police Department and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
