'Most Fan Servicey Thing': Saw X's Major Cameo In Mid-Credits Scene Explained By Director

In honor of the movie's release, Entertainment Weekly caught up with Kevin Greutert to break down Saw X's franchise-milestone mid-credits scene. The director/editor admitted that the scene's return of Costas Mandylor's Mark Hoffman was "probably the most fan servicey thing that we did" for the sequel," though explained that it also came from the filmmakers "just having fun" in closing out the arc for Michael Beach's Henry.

I know that a lot of the really hardcore fans were hoping for that character to return to the series, and we gave it to them on a nice platter. We needed to wrap up the story of the other character that we re-meet in the scene, but it was just having fun ourselves.
