Ethan Hawke reveals whether Moon Knight features cameos by Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk or Mahershala Ali’s Blade. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next live-action Disney+ series to be released as part of Phase 4, Moon Knight, is set to premiere on March 30 and run until May 6. The six-episode series will feature the first live-action portrayal of its titular superhero played by Oscar Isaac.
Moon Knight focuses on a vigilante who inherits powers from the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. The series’ trailers have introduced Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift shop employee unaware of his dissociative identity disorder: a rare psychological condition that has caused him to develop at least one alternate identity in Marc Spector, the mercenary who made a pact with Khonshu.
"That would be cool, except I know Mark Ruffalo and if we were in the same show he would have at least texted me, so I don’t think that one’s got a lot of legs. Maybe I’m being secretive, they kept that whole Spider-Man stuff secret. While Ruffalo is set to reprise his role in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk , Ali’s voice recently appeared in one of Eternals' credits scenes.
As an origin story, Moon Knight shouldn’t heavily rely on the larger MCU. However, this doesn’t mean the series won’t feature MCU cameos and/or references. Irrespective of Blade, Hulk, or whether Hawke's character is secretly Dracula, the actor is clearly having fun promoting Moon Knight.
