North Korea's claim on Friday that it had launched a new type of tactical short-range ballistic missile highlighted military advances by the nuclear-armed state and propelled it to the top of new U.S. President Joe Biden's foreign policy agenda.

SEOUL/WASHINGTON - North Korea’s claim on Friday that it had launched a new type of tactical short-range ballistic missile highlighted military advances by the nuclear-armed state and propelled it to the top of new U.S. President Joe Biden’s foreign policy agenda.

Biden had previously left North Korea entirely out of his maiden foreign policy speech in February, and in outlining eight diplomatic priorities earlier in March, his secretary of state didn’t focus on North Korea except to list it as one of several countries that pose a challenge. While North Korea’s intentions were not yet entirely clear, Thursday’s tests were relatively restrained, said John Delury, a professor at South Korea’s Yonsei University.

The State Department condemned the ballistic missile launches as destabilising. “These launches violate multiple U.N. Security Council resolutions and threaten the region and the broader international community,” a State Department spokesman said. The new weapon is based on existing technology that was improved to carry a 2.5-ton warhead, KCNA reported.

TRUMP WAS RIGHT!!

Great. More Americans being afraid rather than looking at their own problems.

There in the middle of food riots. Multiple riots. They have massive problems. They have no supplies going in. Even their black market is shut down. Even Elites and diplomats are going without. Ignore them. Let them waste their last stolen money. Let them revolt. We’re close.🇺🇸

At last. Proof they got something into an upward trajectory.

Why was Trump banned?

North Korea Gives Biden a Missile Test—a Familiar HelloIt’s one of North Korea’s time-tested tactics: welcome a new U.S. administration with a provocative weapons test. But this time, the Kim Jong Un regime and the Biden administration find themselves with little leverage to force the other side to bend to their demands. Don't they have anything better to do? I am tired of seeing them threatening with their sh!tt! weapons. Trump was addressing Kim Jong-un in much more friendly terms than his big Western allies. In contrast to 1945, the world doesn’t need the US, it is the US that needs the world. The U.S. and North Korea are thus two outcasts. He just wants another love note.
