We also saw the reaction of the community.

Walz said that there will be an investigation into the department’s practices and policies over the past 10 years to determine if police have systematically discriminated against people of color — and how to remedy that if so. Excellent! The current system is broken. DefundPolice and give their budgets to local community leaders to solve their issues. Strengthen communities. Expand mentorships. Build gardens. Give the poor & beaten a path out of hopelessness. They will “police” their own. justice

I don't live in Minneapolis, so I don't mind what policies they pass there, but.... Please, please, please, don't give Baltimore, MD the greenlight to dismantle the Police Dept. I'm begging you, please. I and many other people here may not survive that.

Caller: is this 911? 911: Yes it is. Caller: Some one is breaking into my house. 911: We will be sending Thoughts and Prayers your way immediately!!

Minneapolis is a high crime rate city...lets see how a 'caring' unharmed force get on.....sounds like a disaster to many.

That's just what we need from Minneapolis to show the rest of the country what to do about policing are you kidding me yes dismantle the police but not them no way

A new police force.

Why stop with the police? The schools should be next!

should be done nationwide where systemic abuses have been found.

They had decades to do just that. 🙄

We’ll see

Minneapolis real estate to plummet. Insurance companies won’t touch it now.

I hope all nine of them have either gone into 'impossible to find' hiding, or else hired security that cannot be overcome or corrupted.

How was this not already the law

Should really have been a given to be fair

All police forces should implement this.

Not a single thing will change regardless of this.

What about banning strip searches on arrestees? A strip search is sexual assault.

I think you have a wrong idea about yourselves people.

Still not enough but a step in the right direction tho

its not enough though. blacklivesmatter

Governor you are handling this w the appropriate compassion, ethics & gravity this calls for-I’m cheering for you! Woot! Woot! And in my joy how horribly sad this is that ethical standards being met is cause for celebration, because it shouldn’t be surprising&rare but standard

They trust the report getting a fair look from the police but the medical exam they don't what i want to know is how many autopsies have gone through that medical dept. that were contested over the last 10 years
