Something stinks with this whole saga. Trump has no authority to ban the app. He can try but he will fail and the American tax payer will lose hundreds of millions in compensation and court costs. Is Trump trying to devalue it to allow American company to buy it? That’s illegal.
Why is only MSFT bidding? Where's Google, Apple, FB, Tw? There's also questions around US govt motive behind this anti-free market activity. The idea a Google or Apple app is a legit security threat is BS. If TikTok can grab user data, then so can any app.
