A woman purchases Mega Millions tickets in Washington, DC, on October 19, 2018, as the jackpot nears $1 billion. Nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot on November 24, 2020, which was worth $200 million. To play the Mega Millions lottery, purchase a ticket for $2 per play with the option of adding the Megaplier for an additional $1 per play. Choose five numbers and a Mega Ball number or have the terminal randomly select the numbers.
Until further notice, the starting jackpot will vary based on sales and will be announced before each Mega Millions drawing. Previously, the jackpot always started at $40 million and increased by at least $5 million each time it was not won. However, the system changed in April in response to the pandemic. At the time, Gordon Medenica, Lead Director of the Mega Millions Consortium and Director of Maryland Lottery and Gaming, said:"The value of the Mega Millions jackpot is based on projected sales, and typical sales patterns have been altered because the current health crisis has required people to stay home.
"We are concerned, first and foremost, with everyone's health and well-being. Meanwhile, these adjustments will allow the states and jurisdictions that sell Mega Millions tickets to continue generating much-needed revenue to support state budgets."
Well, Biden's win is definitely a jackpot for any decent human being!
