Medical examiner identifies Pittsburgh man killed in Hill District shooting

A Pittsburgh man who was fatally shot Friday afternoon in the city’s Hill District has been identified as 18-year-old Maleek Thomas, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

City police said the victim was was in critical condition after he was shot in the torso while in the 2400 block of Chauncey Drive.Police said they received reports of nine gunshots being fired. Three vehicles were struck by gunfire, but no one else was found injured.
