McCarthy slams Biden for hundreds of Americans left in Afghanistan after last plane departs

McCarthy made his comments in a Monday evening press conference speaking alongside Republican congressional representatives, all military veterans.

"There are still hundreds of Americans left in Afghanistan," McCarthy said, including"college kids trying to get out...and a mother and her children." He didn't elaborate as to the other Americans remaining in the country. McCarthy slammed"the decision by this administration to leave Americans." He then said that Americans left behind are now asking U.S. Defense SecretaryOn Monday, congressional Republicans made comments about the completed withdrawal of U.S. military troops out of Afghanistan under the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden. Austin told legislators earlier this month that some Americans and Afghans trying to get to the Kabul airport had been harassed and beaten byAt McCarthy's Monday conference, Florida Representative Mike Waltz said that some Americans in Afghanistan will have to be smuggled out of the country with the help of veterans, Republican and Democrat congressional offices, and nonprofit organizations.

You Repubs are crying about keeping the influx of border crossing yet you gripe about leaving some Afghans behind? I don’t get it? Or,is it that you just want to “bitch” about anything Biden does because he’s accomplished so much and the Repubs have accomplished nothing at all…?

Biden deliberately attacked Iraq and Syria, deprived president's war power. Almost all members of two parties cooperated with this disarmament conspiracy to US, really a big shame! Since then, the US has no defensive power anymore, and this country has been perished!

Nearly all of those folks are actually Afghan/American dual-citizens who wouldn't depart and leave their families behind. Should they have been rounded-up at gunpoint and forced onto the planes?

What American were in a war zone other than military, gov contractors or aid workers? These were people who ignored all warnings and went anyway. They didn’t have to register with US upon their arrival in Afghanistan.
