God forbid the teachers union doesn't want to sacrifice the children to Mammon

PedroCPSCEO The Huertas and Chavezes are watching you as you do the bidding of the white wealthy cisgender patriarchy - you will end up in the dustbin of POC CEOs they have used to do their bidding in Chi...ask Brizzard - Byrd/Bennet - Jackson....

Instead of “reporting” MLL’s quotes on television, ask her why she isn’t spending time making schools safe for students and employees, what she did with the federal funds to invest in schools, and why she won’t follow the science?

Why is she suuuuuuch an ass?

How about you put Jesse Sharkey on with her and then clean up the spot where this incompetent demagogue had been sitting before she got vaporized?

Sick of the stupidity and wrongheadedness of this mayor. THIS is exactly why an elected school board has been so desperately needed in Chicago. What we could do without is Lori Lightfoot. To the dustbin of failed Chicago leaders with her.

Eew how disgusting of her!! 🤮🤮

Really? Doubtful considering CTU could just take their contract issues to the IL labor relations instead of holding children and families hostage in Chicago- CTU? What’s really going on?

Hey Tribune thought you were reporters? Why won’t anyone ask why CTU won’t take their contract to the IL labor relations? Keeping children out of school for politics? Why? Do tell CTU….. if

We had TWELVE classes (over 250 students) quarantined just from exposure the first TWO days of instruction. This could’ve been prevented by testing students and ensuring they had results before returning to school from break.

CTULocal1 I don’t agree with chicagosmayor on much, but she’s absolutely right, you’ve abandoned our kids and their families when we’ve need you the most. Absolute cowardice on your behalf. I’ve got two kids in CPS, and you left them. Enough is enough.

A plan for spiking covid rates, opt-out testing and masks for all is a reasonable demand. If Lightfoot had just taken the state up on the offer of testing, vaccination clinics and masks, we wouldn’t be in this situation.

Sort of like she’s abandoned many of her city’s residents!

Mayor on crake

They are not just abandoning ! They are people too!

chicagosmayor get em. educationequity is a major issue for so many. All the suburban teachers I speak to talk about how onlinelearning doesn’t work as well as in person learning

It’s time to rip the bandaid and take some serious action against the union. Stop paying them. They just seem to have too much power

Abolish the teachers union.

What if she was spending all the time that she prepares and goes on cable shows actually trying to fix the problem?🤔

Lori and CPS abandoned the children The teachers wanted to keep children, teachers and staff safe and healthy Lori locked the teachers out their accounts so they couldn't teach remotely. I CANT WITH LORI UGH

And she is correct

For all the mistakes she’s made as mayor, she’s absolutely right on this issue.

Worst mayor ever

CTU is awful. Lightfoot is awful. Foxx is awful. The City needs an enema.

In the end the kids will learn more from watching Tom and Jerry

so she hasn’t been looking at the surge in Covid cases. Hopefully, Lightfoot is out of here soon.

NOW ASK YOURESELVES PLEASE WHAT THIS INFACT COST THE TAXPAYERS THAT WHAT THIS BEEDS LOOKING AT !!!!!

Chicago Teachers Union offers a new proposal, but mayor says city officials 'will not relent'The standoff between the Chicago Teachers Union and city officials stretched into the weekend as the two sides continue to debate whether to return to the classroom amid a Covid-19 surge. ANYONE saying schools are safe, should go and do their work in these schools. Show everyone how 'safe' it is! Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall calls for a countywide mask mandateAs Utah experiences a crush of new COVID-19 infections, Salt Lake City is urging Salt Lake County leaders to adopt a countywide mask mandate. LA county has had mask mandates and vax passports, vax required for public schools. 😂 And will they take this opportunity to protect our County with a mask mandate? Unlikely, as the Republicans on the council have been in Covid's camp for more than a year. 'Stringham was selected as chair during the council’s regular Tuesday meeting. She was also one of only two members who did not wear a mask.' If I sat on the County Council I would remind Laurie Stringham every single day - masks work. 😷
