The mayor of Atlanta has a message for demonstrators: “If you were out protesting last night, you probably need to go get a COVID test this week.”

The statement comes as a new confirmed case from a packed Memorial Day party is raising alarms.LOS ANGELES -- The mayor of Atlanta, one of dozens of U.S. cities hit by massive protests in recent days, has a message for demonstrators: “If you were out protesting last night, you probably need to go get a COVID test this week.”

Violent protests over the death of George Floyd have shaken the country from New York City to Minneapolis, from Atlanta to Los Angeles. Some protests have turned into riots and clashes with police, leaving stores burned and torched cars in the streets. City officials have ordered overnight curfews to quell the violence.

“Whether they’re fired up or not, that doesn’t prevent them from getting the virus,” said Bradley Pollock, chairman of the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of California, Davis. On Sunday, many Americans were returning to in-person church services for the first time in many weeks as some emergency measures are lifted and mosques reopened across the Middle East, but in countries from India to Colombia the number of new infection was still on the rise.

More than 6 million infections have been reported worldwide, with nearly 370,000 deaths, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University. The true death toll is believed to be significantly higher, with experts saying many victims died of the virus without ever being tested. In Bogota, the capital of Colombia, authorities were locking down an area of nearly 1.5 million people as cases continued to rise.

Who cares, don't waste money on these criminals, they can get fucked!

Look at those perfect white teeth! Boy, I’m envious! So is Mr. Ed! And no cavities to be seen.

It was already coming from brunch, beach, and salon crowds. Don’t blame the protests for what was already started.

Don’t give them the test don’t do the test for free you’re wasting my tax dollars if you were out last night you shouldn’t of been.

The Us is imploding, Americans killing Americans. I’m happy i’m not American and have little family there, otherwise I would tell them to get out and run ad quickly as possible. Any country is better than the US right now as long as Trump is president. Destroying the nation.

Least of their concerns.

The sad part is they aren't going to die from covid. Their parents and grandparents are.

One thing about it. All the trouble makers on the Left and Right going to get thinned out by election day.

Legal gun owners need to lock and load to end this soon.

She meant to say if you were out looting and burning..
