Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker signed a bill on Monday allowing all registered voters in the Bay State to vote by mail in the primary and general elections this fall if they choose, his office confirmed to CNN

Washington .

The new law means Massachusetts joins other states -- including Michigan, Nevada, California, New Hampshire and Wisconsin -- in moving to make it easier for more people to vote by mail as coronavirus infection numbers climb and states are forced to look ahead to the November election. The bill requires that an application to vote by mail be sent to everyone in the state who was registered to vote prior to July 1.

Guardrails line the journey of a mail-in ballotEvery state and local government does it differently. Election experts say that’s part of what makes it so secure. With different systems across the U.S., it would be extremely difficult for anyone to “hack” the presidential election in any widespread way. Sure but until it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt there is too much at stake. Look to the states who’ve done it successfully for years. There are leaders to help! 🙄 That might be true if both political parties didn't have operatives in every state and local area that are intimately familiar with these systems.
