Marvel originally announced Moon Knight as one of its upcoming projects in 2019. Excitement for the fan-favorite comic character to debut grew when it was revealed Oscar Isaac would play the lead role of Marc Spector. Marvel has kept other details about Moon Knight close to the vest, as Ethan Hawke and Mae Calamawy are the only other confirmed cast members. Their roles are not known, but Hawke's rumored mystery villain was glimpsed in a recent Moon Knight trailer teaser. The footage also provided the first full look at Isaac's MCU superhero costume, which further increased anticipation.
