That depressing statistic aside, Marvel clearly believes it has the antidote for our movie-watching malaise, which began in earnest when COVID-19 shutdown theaters across the country last March, upending the film industry. But, as movie theaters continue to reopen their doors and the film industry heads toward summer blockbuster season, it’s unclear as to how the film industry will bounce back from these recent setbacks. But if anyone knows how to save the day, it’s Marvel.
