The D.C. attorney general’s office is suing Marriott over what it alleges are deceptive pricing tactics related to resort fees

and its hotels have collected hundreds of millions of dollars in resort fees from hotel guests over the past 10 years, according to the District of Columbia attorney general’s office, which is suing the company over what it alleges are deceptive pricing tacticsMarriott hotels collected more than $220 million in resort fees dating to 2012, according to recently unsealed court documents in the case. The fees, which are sometimes also called destination amenity fees, can range from $9 to $95.

This is why I don’t go to Vegas! Hotels there charge $25-$35 fee per day…

It would be nice if that charge was scrapped. Its not just Marriott, there are worse offenders. It is misleading. Its like paying extra for knife, fork napkin in restaurant. Oh cover charge for table is another to go after. jsolomonReports MiamiHerald
