An altercation that broke out at a gathering in Canoga Park resulted in the stabbing of a man and a woman and the arrest of one suspect Saturday evening, June 4.
Callers reported fighting and a possible assault with a deadly weapon at a party on the 6900 block of Alabama Avenue at about 9:40 p.m., Los Angeles Police Officer Matthew Cruz said. Authorities responded and found a wounded man and woman who were taken to a hospital. One suspect was arrested at the scene in connection with the stabbings, Cruz said. Their identity was not publicly available as of Sunday afternoon.
Details regarding what led up to the stabbings and the severity of the victims’ injuries were not immediately released.
