36-year-old Miles Moreland was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail after he allegedly brandished a gun and threatened two officers from the Central Patrol Division’s Homeless Resource Center Squad on Wednesday afternoon. "Based on the preliminary information, the two officers were patrolling the area when Moreland allegedly reached into his waistband, pulled out a gun, and threatened them," a SLCPD press release read. Following a brief standoff, officers successfully took Moreland into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported.
