Malcolm X's assassination case to be re-investigated by team that exonerated 'Central Park 5'

But now, a new Netflix series has prompted the New York City district attorney's office to review those convictions and re-investigate who's actually responsible for killing Malcolm X.

"He has determined that the district attorney's office will begin a preliminary review of the matter, which will inform the office regarding what further investigative steps may be undertaken," Frost said in a statement emailed to ABC News.Malcolm X amongst a pile of newspapers, circa 1963.
