Main focus for preventing coronavirus spread should be hand hygiene, not face masks

Health care workers use N-95 masks when dealing with some respiratory illnesses. When the masks are used, they’re worn in addition to other personal protective equipment. Health care workers undergo routine testing to ensure they know how to fit their masks correctly and use precise procedures to remove their equipment to protect themselves after close contact with infected patients.

The question of masks for the general public was raised in regard to the stigmatization in China of people choosing to wear them. The WHO recommendation for face mask use by the general public is that people who are sick should wear them — not healthy people.

Yeah! and remember to cover up when you cough or sneezing!!

so I get that facemasks only work on those already infected to stop it from spreading (not the other way around). What about rubber gloves for those who are unknowingly touching infected surfaces - Id be less likely to rub my eyes with a rubber glove on 🤷‍♀️

I'd recommend, after shopping for groceries wash all your fruits and vegetables. You are not the first person to pick up and look at the fruit and vegetables you just bought. Sanitize your hands after you've touched many of the items others have touched without your knowledge.

people who wear those face masks I would never allow them in my business because I couldn't see their entire face sorry but that's the way I am I don't believe in covering one face go out in public cuz then you look like a criminal

I went to the gym once and forgot to wash my hands after leaving. I caught influenza A and B afterwards. Never again.

Shout out to the guy I was just in the bathroom with who was wearing a mask and did not wash his hands.

And wiping any goods , including grocery packaging- many unwashed hands and coughs may have touched them while on the shelves- before they got to your home!
