Shopping malls were originally designed to bring the downtown to the suburbs. Originally an open-air center, Tri-County was enclosed in 1968 and shoppers no longer feared the elements. Great article on the dying malls but what happens when small businesses that put heart and soul in businesses get caught up in shiftless property managers and owners who make deals and these small stores go under. PG County mentioned and they don’t care about the smaller tenants.
