Macy’s Inc. this week outlined several specific stores it is closing by the end of its current fiscal year.
The closures include the following on-mall Macy’s locations: Puente Hills in California; Streets at SouthGlenn and Twenty Ninth Street, both in Colorado; San Jacinto in Texas, including the Furniture Clearance Center; Lee’s Summit in Missouri; and Brookwood Village in Alabama.
Macy's declined when it merged with May Company. They basically incorporated May's retail philosophy & the merchandise went downscale. Subsequently, Macy's has suffered & gone downhill.
The truth, and what I wish the WSJ would report, is that the quality of our goods has dropped. Polyester n plastic abound. I would love to shop for natural fibers, rich prints and comfortable clothing. But it’s all been ruined. And why I don’t go to these places anymore. Truth.
