London police make new arrest in Sabina Nessa murder investigation

London The arrest of a man in connection with the murder of teacher Sabina Nessa is a"significant development" in the case, London's Metropolitan Police said on Sunday.

Nessa, 28, was killed last Friday as she walked the short distance from her home in southeast London to a local pub where she was planning to meet friends. She never arrived. Her body was discovered in a nearby park the following day, sparking a murder investigation. "A 38-year-old man ... was arrested on suspicion of murder at around 03:00hrs on Sunday, 26 September, at an address in East Sussex. He has been taken into police custody," the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

So many young, hopeful, vibrant women loose their lives to horrible, violent men. I’m shocked at how many do, yet how many men live freely. With cameras, cellphones and modern times, the death penalty for these men seems like it would surely stop this long awful trend.

Two men were separately arrested on suspicion of her murder but were subsequently released under investigation.

Anyone that guilty pls let him/her face to justice, nobody above the law

It is unclear if the man they were hunting is the man that has been arrested .

Who ever committed this should be hung! It baffles me as a red blooded male (not by choice), could harm such an innocent soul!

The man was arrested at around 3am at an address in East Sussex and taken into custody .
