TUCSON, Ariz. — The 4th of July holiday weekend in Southern Arizona falls during the driest time as much as it does during fireworks season.
Ground-based fireworks, such as sparklers and smoke devices, are legal for personal use through July 6. Even so, simple sparklers come with fire and personal safety risks. The TFD suggests the safest practice is to keep them away from houses and flammable material such as dry grass, and never allow young children to handle them.
In terms of fire prevention, keeping a bucket of water nearby is also a key practice for safely disposing of your home fireworks.
Yeah spark up something else.
Seriously the money you pay for any fireworks honestly could go towards buying pet food for our overwhelming local shelters like PimaAnimalCare & HSSAZ . Shelters will get even fuller with scared pets due to fireworks - why not donate your money ?
Yup, plus I don’t want to hear that crap. And also why would I be celebrating the Fourth of July when I’m considered a second class citizen without full rights or body autonomy? PhuckTheFourth
