Prevo expects to work from the Lynchburg campus starting Aug. 17 and will step aside from his position on the board for the duration of the new role, according to the news release. The board’s executive committee appointed Prevo, Liberty said. The university announced in a one-sentence statement Friday that Falwell was taking a leave of absence. The statement didn’t elaborate. But Falwell’s departure came after he posted a photo showing him posing with his pants unbuttoned, stomach exposed and his arm around a young woman who was not his wife.
Falwell was holding a glass filled with a dark liquid in the photo, which he said in the caption was “just black water ... a prop only.” Falwell has not responded to a text message from The Associated Press seeking comment. The AP was unable to leave a voicemail on his cellphone.

This is another “Sorry but not sorry” moment. Jr was a disgrace to the institution his father founded. 10 years of oppressive, hypocritical, autocratic leadership led to this. Both my siblings are alumni and our family used to love this school; he was never fit for his role.
