Re: “The problem is professionals, not parents — We should demand the best evidence-based care for our kids struggling with gender identity,” by Lisa Selin Davis, Sunday Opinion.

Morgan had a lot of trauma in her life. My son, who is transgender, has been living a life that I can only describe as thriving since he transitioned. It’s regretful that Davis doesn’t note any factual information about transgender history, or that some Native American tribes have acknowledged three or more genders.

If this is the same agency, I think it should be encouraged to solve those problems rather than harass parents who are following medical guidelines for their children. I’m encouraged to know that even if courts ultimately decide that the state can go ahead with these investigations of transgender youth’s treatment, they will be far too understaffed to ever carry them out!Re: “Texas’ bus plan? ‘It’s a dud’ — Hundreds of migrants sent to D.C., but tactic has little effect,” Sunday news story.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Americans finally realized that they don’t need the government to solve every problem? State by state, we can help our poor, our tired, our hungry. With everyone’s mind made up, abortion is a challenging issue for journalists: Letter from the EditorIt is the most binary of issues. The vast majority of America is firmly ensconced on one side or the other, with no possibility of being dislodged. They feel they know all they need to know and don’t seek ,or wish for, further illumination. They just want everyone to see it as they do. Their is no two views you either believe women should be forced to birth children or you don't!! Republicans get their voters stirred up with abortion and guns and immigration so they’ll ignore the fact that they’re voting to subsidize billionaire corporations.
