The inequities of westside vs. eastside in the Salt Lake Valley could not have been more clear— mapped in the snow. We hear endless pledges to do better, to pay more attention to our westside communities. In 2022, let’s match our words with action.

Salt Lake City School District moving schools online next weekSalt Lake County School District unanimously voted Friday evening to move its schools to online learning next week. 🤬. So not only will business have half their workforce out sick with Covid the other half will be out dealing with kids that should be in school. Welcome to the worst of 2020 on steroids. Time to let the virus run its course. There is no stopping it. The quicker we get it the sooner we move on. This is a bad call SLC school board. Do you think the kids are just going to stay home and not get together with their friends? You failed the students again!!!!!!! 'Go online,' is easy to say but doing it will is much harder than it sounds and far too many students get left in the cracks in the process. The educational and psychological losses far outweigh any risk from COVID.
