Garret Dillahunt read with Ana de Armas when she auditioned to play Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, the upcoming film: “Ana came out of hair and make-up in this beautiful blonde wig, with the mole and in that iconic white dress. It was magical.”

didn’t exactly run to get a COVID vaccine. “When it first came out I was like, ‘I’m not taking that shit,’” the former “Saturday Night Live” star tells me. “They’re just going to come up with a potion and we’re supposed to take that shit?…I was like, ‘I’m going to wait until the last batch and then maybe somebody could talk me into it.” But then she spoke to her aunt’s friend, a biologist working in COVID research. “She was like, ‘This is very serious. Please get vaccinated,’” Jones says. But she still wasn’t ready — that is, until she was asked to host the MTV Movie & TV Awards, airing live from Los Angeles on May 16: “I was like, ‘I gotta be sage so let me just go bite the bullet.” She says she’s going to avoid pandemic jokes: “I hope we make it a party,” Jones says. “I just want to bring joy to people. Everybody is going to be hearing about me and about me dating. I’m just trying to have joy. I just want everybody to laugh their ass off.’”

She also wants winners to keep their acceptance speeches short. She says she wasn’t a fan of the unusually long thank-you remarks at this year’s Oscars. “And why did they all look so scared?” Jones asks. “They looked like hostages with someone standing on the side with a gun or something. When it gets down to

Glenn Closedoing ‘Da Butt’ being the most exciting thing, we have lost ourselves. I’m not mad at it, but it just shouldn’t have been the most exciting thing that happened that night.”With lockdown restrictions easing, Jones has returned to stand up. “The first time I hit that stage, I didn’t know that was part of my medicine of life,” she says. “I was like, ‘Damn!’ I slept like a baby that night. I didn’t know that was an element of what was missing out of my life.” headtopics.com

As for the dating life we’ll hear more about on during the awards on Sunday, Jones says, “I want a guy like the house I just bought — solid! You know what I’m saying? I don’t have to replace any window frames or fixtures.” Read more: Variety »

Grocery retailer Boxed is going public in an $887 million SPAC deal

Online grocery shopping is hotter than ever, and Boxed is cashing in: It's going public in an $887 million deal with a special purpose acquisition company.

Sad to say but I agree 💯 Nobody cares anymore. The Oscars are just a woke-a-thon with people who have too much money, preaching bullshit, and virtue signalling to the peasants. Couple of months ago I came across a recommendation about Anthonyclaw24 how he helped investors to earn lots of money with their investments. and I decided to give a trial with the little I have. Now my little has turned into something great which was not my expectations,

Exactly. True! My excitement over a in person Oscars show quickly turned to boredom, eventually turning it off. No wonder ratings sank. I I’m sure she’ll attempt to bring joy to the tiny percent of the nationwide audience still watching awards shows by making an array of Trump jokes. ...what’s wrong with Wuhan flu jokes? We need to laugh at our struggles just as much as we lament them.

If it was a white person saying that about a dark glenn close, it could, probably would, have been called racist. Don’t be reversed racist against Glenn. She’s been rocking ya butts before you were even born. respect homeless need programs where they have a place to sleep and a trade skill for work for like 6-8 months, and eventually when they are paid they can buy their own food and eventually get their own place.the homeless don’t have homes because it’s too expensive,we need smaller homes

ITT: people not understanding how mutual aid works and that a community should take care of all its people.

He is trying to prove how socialism doesn’t work... ,that’s actually really sweet and a great idea. Jaden to Will... Smart AND handsome. He has good intentions, but I don't think it would work in the long run. Is a pretty thought Just start a charity What an idiot child. His heart is in the right place, but he has never had a real education so I’m struggling who to blame here.

Why not just skip all that and start a charity? Basically the same thing. Quite a pitch. What a businessman.

He should just give a lot of $ to homeless people... problem solved In times Covid Wow Eh not like i eat out anyway No thanks. unsustainable And that wasn't even funny but cringe They need to have a host again. The funniest, most exciting Oscars have never had a celebrity going that far for a joke. I think Glenn Close would have been the most talked about thing no matter what.

Who knew Glenn Close doing Da Butt would be necessary comic relief for the Oscars lol. Agreed!

THR Talks: Barry Jenkins and Nikole Hannah-Jones on the Nuances of Storytelling and TraumaThe Underground Railroad director and The 1619 Project’s creator navigate nuance in storytelling around trauma and the American slavery narrative We don't try to cover up the Holocaust. So why are we so determined to ignore the realities of slavery, attempts to restrict voting And downplay the effects of the Jim Crow era? When I told my children that 60 years ago they would not have been able to enjoy a meal or drink with 2 Cont their non white friends they looked at me like I had 3 heads. We need to teach our children the realities of what occurred in our country much the same way they learn about Hitler and World War 2. THEY NEED TO KNOW!! Wow all of Hollywood has become anti-Semitic why did they attack Mel Gibson if they’ve become Mel Gibson !
