Singer LanaDelRey called out fellow pop stars Doja Cat, ArianaGrande, Beyonce and others for scoring hits with songs about 'being sexy, wearing no clothes, f---ing, cheating, etc.'

The alternative pop singer cited chart-topping songs by Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and others about"being sexy, wearing no clothes, f***ing, cheating, etc."

Lana Del Rey’s next album will drop Sept. 5. And if her latest Instagram post is any indication, she has no shortage of inspiration. The alternative pop singer shared a lengthy post Thursday , in which she took on haters, critics, hypocrites and misogynists.

Del Rey takes a stand on “female writers and alt-singers” who accuse her of glamorizing abuse “when in reality," she continues, "I’m just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all now seeing are very prevalent abusive relationships all over the world." She continues, “With all of the topics women are finally allowed to explore I just want to say over the last ten years I think it’s pathetic that my minor lyrical exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my relationships has often made people say I’ve set women back hundreds of years.”

In spite of whether what she wrote was warranted or not, you are insulting both sides of the discussion by completely misrepresenting the content of her post. This is unbelievably irresponsible reporting.

They’ll change the headlines when we stop clicking on them.

Nice clickbait headline! Isn’t the point of being a journalist or shall we say journalism in general is to tell the truth? You obviously missed the point but thank you for Misleading readers, good job 🤢

This is the part where the desperate person starts throwing punches at anyone in front of them desperate

pandemic or not, all your ‘reporting’ is good for is wiping my ass, try again

She called out terrible reporters like you.. stop changing things

She is going ready for the wrath of the Beyhive? Good luck lady

I've seen her music videos. I wouldn't call them morally uplifting either.

Wow. Unfollowing THR for this horribly false headline…better known as clickbait…trying to paint LanaDelRey as an asshole. While realDonaldTrump is a moron he’s right about one thing, just not in the right way…fake news exists - headlines like this are the perfect example.

fuckoff

You should be ashamed of yourself spreading false information with that headline. This was not close to what she actually said + meant.

You guys are disgusting

Your headline is misleading/ inaccurate. She didn’t call out anyone. She said she admires all of those artists. She was calling out a double standard that seems to only apply to her. That’s fair. Some people deserve the ruination of their careers. Lana Del Rey doesn’t.

“Mal-intentioned journalists” seems to ring true

Someone obviously missed the whole point of her post

sex sells. always has always will. Lana uses it to sell too but she just doesnt have the same vulgar taste as some of the hip hop girls.

Who is she to tell artists how they can express themselves? How pretentious is she? Seriously?

This story is 4 days old.

she does glamorize abuse & is just upset that she got called out on it.

Interesting headline...
