L.A. restaurants hit with looting, vandalism during George Floyd protests

in Los Angeles, a citywide curfew was declared as violence broke out in several neighborhoods.

The overwhelming response from restaurants — on signs plastered on storefronts or messages posted to social media — was sympathetic to the spirit of the protests.

Business owners were terrified and you know it. Fake news.

Doubt any businesses are sympathetic to looting and vandalism in normal times, but when fledgling due to being closed or very limited for three months...owners are probably holding back tears. Fear likely made them convince the reporter that they're 'sympathetic' to the rioters.
