Museums that reopened their doors or planned to welcome back visitors in the coming week are forced to change course again as coronavirus cases surge.

June 17. Attendance has been about 1,500 people a day, about a third of capacity, to enforce social distancing. Safety measures have included temperature checks for guests and one-way garden paths to avoid congestion.hugely concerning that the numbers are going up. The next two weeks will tell us a lot,” said Susan Turner-Lowe, vice president of communications and marketing.

. “For museums to delay exhibitions like this, it’s really complex. You have all these balls in the air around borrowing works, and loan agreements, and dozens of people have to agree to any changes.”“It’s incredibly disappointing,” Ellegood said. “Ann Greene Kelly’s work will be in ‘Made in L.A.’ [at the Hammer Museum] this fall, but the Ree Morton show — we were the last venue on the tour. We have to do what’s necessary to keep people safe, but it’s particularly heartbreaking.

Because of the uncertainty that lies ahead, many museums have set reopening dates farther down the line, or they haven’t committed to one at all.

Apple Stores closing again in L.A. and beyond as COVID-19 spreadsStarting Thursday, Apple is temporarily closing all its stores in the Los Angeles area and some other California locations, as well as places in Las Vegas, Alabama, Idaho, Oklahoma, Georgia and Louisiana. I thought an Apple a day kept the doctor away? Other stores will also close unless we do our best to end this pandemic! If only all of us will do everything in our power to get rid of COVID-19, no stores will close, nobody will have to wear face masks, and we all go back to normal before this pandemic! mayleechai Years ago, my mom thought she got the flu from checking her email at the Apple store. Shared touchscreens and keyboards are a bad idea at the moment.

90-year-old man comes out as gay in viral Facebook postOne of the first things you’ll notice on 90-year-old Kenneth Felts' Facebook page are his big smile and rainbow hoodie. It’s a new addition to go along with a message for everyone that knows him: “I am free, I am gay and I am out.” why do i care. if i plastered it all over the gay community that i wasnt gay and im happy. how do you think they would take. treat ppl how you want to be treated and for the love of god, stop allowing yourself to be used politically by someone who doesnt care about you I applaud that you are so conditioned to clap for this, you all fail to see that a man chosing to live in the closet for 90 years, only to come out in 2020, is an abject coward.
