Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were involved in a shooting while serving a search warrant at a home in Studio City early Thursday morning, authorities said.
Deputies opened fire inside a residence in the 11500 block of Dona Teresa Drive around 7:25 a.m., according to a Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman. It remains unclear what prompted the gunfire, but the spokeswoman confirmed deputies from the West Hollywood station were executing a search warrant at the time.
No one appears to have been injured, officials said. Members of the department’s Special Enforcement Bureau cleared the residence around 11:35 a.m., and several people have been detained, the spokeswoman said. Department officials would not say what the warrant was for or why people had been detained. It was also unclear how many deputies were involved in the incident.Dona Teresa Drive is lined with upscale homes that sit off of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, roughly two miles from CBS Studios.
