Krispy Kreme is offering free doughnuts — a dozen of them, to be exact — as a thank you to those who donate blood amid the national shortage.

Red Cross declares first-ever national blood crisis. There's been a 62% drop in college, high school blood drives due to the COVID-19 pandemic. LiveNOW from FOX talks with an American Red Cross Medical Director about the importance of getting donations during this time.

Krispy Kreme announced it will thank those who donate blood or platelets with a free box of their original glazed doughnuts. The offer is only valid to those who make the donation between Jan. 24 - Jan. 31, 2022. , warning the public about the worst shortage in over a decade.
