PHILADELPHIA — Pennsylvania could determine the presidency. But it might not be clear for days who won the state on Nov. 3.
Less than two weeks away fromPennsylvania’s primary, some state election officials said they lack the funding and staff needed to handle the massive influx of mail-in ballots they’ve received for that race. They also said the fact that they legally can’t start counting those ballots until the morning of Election Day is complicating matters.
The deluge has led to a backlog: Officials said last week about 18,000 ballots are still waiting to be sent to city voters. It’s unclear which party will be harmed more by such doubts. In low-income and minority neighborhoods in Democratic-dominated Philadelphia, voters have requested mail-in ballots at lower rates than those in more affluent areas. Overall, though, 69 percent of applications processed for mail and absentee ballots in the state have come from Democratic voters, compared with 30 percent from Republicans, which some GOP insiders in the state blame on Trump’s opposition to the voting method.
Get someone who can! Simples.
There’s time to prepare. PA knows it will be mail in. Figure it out. It will be worth it, to oust Trump. I’m ready for this nightmare to end.
Then, whoever loses will challenge the results in court.
It’s only a “nightmare” to impatient people. Please make sure everyone gets to vote and get the count right.
TrueFactsStated This is the stupidest article and commentary. Pennsylvania has made it easy to get a mail ballot. I sent my back in and got an email confirming it had been received. Easy. It will take longer to count paper, period. Accurate speed
That’s the plan
So what? Accuracy beats speed. Living after voting gotta count for something.
Trump to lose 2020 election in a landslide defeat, model predicts--Business Insider 5/25/20
That’s ok?
Fraud warning
Can they count at all?
Yes, if we don't protect our vulnerable communities there will be a nightmare. Plenty of unemployed would love to be hired at the voting locations, vote counts!
How does Oregon and Washington do it?
Круто!
Why are all the blue states lacking the most basic skills ?
Trump for President 2020
R
By design.
No need. realDonaldTrump lost by a landslide. There were a lot of extra ballots that were postmarked Wuhan and Moscow.
Interesting it's the Dems who are behind all this with the voting They have no message. Hate Trump isn't a message. They can't run on open borders. Green new deal, higher taxes, they've been exposed for the frauds they are. Only thing they have. Steal the elections.
Mail in votes.
Shit show. “They got the wrong party ballot sent to them. They got the wrong district ballot sent to them. I’m having people getting multiple ballots sent to them. These things are inevitable when you rush the implementation of mail-in voting like we did here,”
How is it a “nightmare” to have to wait a few days for an accurate count?
How is getting an accurate count a ‘nightmare’? Electoral college doesn’t meet for several weeks post Election Day. What’s the rush? Be accurate.
Big ass
It'll take as long as it will take.
Teachers switched over to distance learning in a matter of weeks. Same with grocery stores and restaurants. Get your shit together like the rest of “essential” workers.
The the state of Pennsylvania should be doing something about it now if it is going to be an issue VoteBlueToSaveAmerica VoteJoeBiden2020
Ok, that's fine.
Two words: ballot security. Just get the count correct, no matter how long it takes.
