The California Republican might be the first person to complain about free Peloton classes.

The average cost of the Peloton All-Access Membership is $39 per month, and a Peloton App Membership costs $12.99 per month.Under the contract with Peloton, which had been set to go into effect on Wednesday, the government would pay the company $10,000 up front and $10 per month for each staffer who chooses to use the perk, according to

The outlet cited a source who said that if 12,000 staffers opted in for the benefit, it would cost taxpayers $120,000 a month.that was supposed to be sent to House staff last week announced that the House Center for Well-Being would make Peloton Corporate Wellness benefits available to House staff.The Democratic chair of the Committee on House Administration, Rep. Zoe Lofgren, reportedly rejected the plan, according to theMcCarthy wasn’t alone in condemning the proposed Peloton membership.

It’s not free. We’re paying for it and most are worrying about eating next week.

I mean, it is ridiculous. Non government employees don’t get free gym memberships/classes. Not sure why the government should foot the bill.

Mostly because writing/passing bills about adult policies eg sensible gun laws, protecting woman’s uterus’s et al are hard work and should be avoided at all costs.

The Peloton classes are NOT free.

I have no love for McCarthy, but I fail to see how corporate gifts belong in our government. I don't want any of my representatives or staff getting treats from Peloton or anyone. I know there's a ton of this going on and McCarthy is just making distraction noises, but still.
