A Kentucky grand jury announced one Louisville police officer will be charged in Breonna Taylor’s death; two other cops won’t face charges

on three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor.

The occupants of those apartments were identified by initials. None of them were BT — Breonna Taylor. That means the grand jury didn't find that Hankison wantonly fired into her apartment. The announcement comes after Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's office presented its findings to the jury earlier this week. His team has been investigating the Taylor shooting since May.

Protesters in Louisville and supporters across the U.S. have called for"justice for Breonna" and other Black Americans, such as George Floyd in Minneapolis, who have been killed by police. Mattingly, who was shot during the raid, and Cosgrove have been on administrative reassignment since March. Hankison, meanwhile, after the interim police chief determined the evidence showed he fired indiscriminately into Taylor's apartment.

JordanCulver Justice!

They all fired their guns. They should all Rot in prison

JordanCulver If you follow the law, the decision in the Taylor case is justified. If you do not follow the law you will continue to condemn the courts decision. We are waiting for anyone to display a legal argument, supported by evidence, on why this decision was unjust.

Racist, racist and racist.

White cops always get off

Suggest you all look at the facts of the case as they were released in detail earlier - emotion over facts doesn’t work

The judge who signed the no knock warrant should be held accountable and the officers’ supervisor. They had bad intelligence prior to this incident and an innocent woman was killed.

fatimafarha_ No justice no peace. She deserves so much better than this

If you shoot at police detectives, they’re gonna shoot back every time.

fatimafarha_ And that's Justice?!!!

Umm seems like they all were involved somehow I think KY is putting up a scapegoat

No justice for Breonna Taylor

This headline sucks. He wasn't charged in her death, he was charged with wanton endangerment for putting the people in the neighboring apartment at risk of injury or death, not for anything to do with her!

It'd be better if they all got off with nothing, as they should, but I guess this small unrelated charge is acceptable. Hopefully he gets off as easy as possible with it.

Ridiculous, doesn't matter what the evidence shows? White privilege Really. What about the boyfriend that shot first, oh and struck one of the officers? He doesn't bear any responsibility? In the state i live in, he would be blamed for her death. I guess the facts don't matter

fatimafarha_ burn the fcking city to the ground. they wont change or learn otherwise

GloriousWednesdayWord We must repent and welcome Jesus as our savior.

Shit poor headline USA Today. The story is: 'Kentucky DA Fails To Charge Officers In Death Of Breonna Taylor'. One of the officers was charged with a minor crime completely unrelated to Breonna Taylor's death.

fatimafarha_ No justice no peace!!! BlackLivesMatter

Bogus ass announcement.

1 is better than 0 but the other two got off free!

He wasn’t even charged in direct link to her death. He was just charged for three counts of wanton endangerment in the first degree 🤦🏽‍♀️

No Justice, No Peace

Unmitigated, unadulterated, WHITE PRIVILEGE!

This was part tragedy, and part incompetence/negligence (wrong house). It was not a racial incident. Hopefully this will begin to bring this to a close.

Maybe don't shoot through a door/wall at police...

Black AS is a POS---letting these white officers skate

This is ridiculous. How were the other 2 cops not indicted? How was showering her apartment with bullets not wanton endangerment?

One will be the Fall Guy

Here come the riots

Hakinson now is the time to get the truth out. They took your job and now they are dumping on you. SPEAK OUT NOW

so they committed murder essentially and got off scott free

🤬

And the one who is charged will be acquitted. Shit happens😉

So :-/ throw one under the bus, and save the others. :-/ this is our new normal.

The two others sang...and that's good.

all 3 should be charged. what do you mean only one has been charged?

Kentucky Grand Jury Indicts A Former Officer In Breonna Taylor KillingBREAKING: A Kentucky grand jury has decided to indict one of three Louisville police officers who fatally shot Breonna Taylor in her home in March. The former officer — who was fired in June — has been charged with three counts of wanton endangerment. For clarity as someone who lives here: The Wanton Endangerment charge is for firing into OTHER apartments and not BT. BT was not mentioned in indictment. She's not named as the victim of his charges. Charges are for THE NEIGHBORS. Good. Everyone can go home now.
