The Delaware Court of Chancery denied Elon Musk the opportunity to interview all of Twitter's employees who deal with counting bots on the platform.

Chancellor Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick ruled on Monday that Musk can only interview one of Twitter's employees who deal with bots on the platform. The judgment will limit the billionaire's ability to make a case during his October trial that the social platform was being deceptive about its bot counts when it agreed to his $44 billion takeover. The only name approved for questioning was that of Kayvon Beykpour, head of consumer product at Twitter, according to Law360.

Musk accused Twitter of hiding critical witnesses in a letter filed under seal on Tuesday and requested that 22 of Twitter's employees have their names released so they could be questioned by Musk's team. Twitter filed a lawsuit against Musk, followed by a countersuit filed by Musk. Musk accused Twitter of engaging in fraud and deceptively portraying its user base to the public.

Twitter and Musk's legal teams are scheduled to meet for a five-day trial from Oct. 17 to Oct. 21, when they will have an expedited trial over Twitter's lawsuit about Musk's termination of the deal. Twitter filed multiple subpoenas last weekend regarding Musk's associates in the hope of seeking information on any communications that discussed the funding of Musk's planned $44 billion acquisition of the company. Not all subpoenaed parties were happy with the prodding.
