Brian Van Holt has been cast as John Reinke in Peacock upcoming series. He joins Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin and John Cameron Mitchell as Joe Exotic.

Van Holt will star as John Reinke, the zoo manager at Joe’s zoo, a loyal worker and friend until things go too far. Reinke famously appeared as himself in the hit Netflix docuseries “Tiger King.”

Van Holt joins previously announced series stars Kate McKinnon, who will play Carole Baskin, and John Cameron Mitchell, who will play Joe Exotic. Van Holt recently starred in the Fox cop drama “Deputy” opposite Stephen Dorff. His other TV credits include “John From Cincinnatti,” “The Bridge,” and “Cougar Town.” On the film side, he is known for his roles in “Black Hawk Down,” “House of Wax,” “SWAT,” and “Den of Thieves.

It was previously announced that the show would air across Peacock, USA Network, and USA, but NBCUniversal recently reversed that decision and decided toEtan Frankel serves as writer and executive producer under his overall deal with UCP. McKinnon executive produces in addition to starring along with Wondery’s Hernan Lopez, Marshall Lewy, and Aaron Hart. UCP will produce. Justin Tipping will direct the first four episodes, including the pilot.
